गृहीत्वा तं हरिर् दोर्भ्यां
भ्रामयित्वा भुजौजसा
पातयाम् आस भू-पृष्ठे
वातः पद्मम् इवोद्धृतम्
gṛhītvā taṃ harir dorbhyāṃ
bhrāmayitvā bhujaujasā
pātayām āsa bhū-pṛṣṭhe
vātaḥ padmam ivoddhṛtam
gṛhītvā—grabbing; tam—him; hariḥ—Lord Kṛṣṇa; dorbhyām—with both arms; bhrāmayitvā—whirling around; bhujaujasā—with the power of His arms; pātayām āsa—threw; bhū-pṛṣṭhe—to the ground; vātaḥ—wind; padmam—a lotus flower; iva—like; uddhṛtam—uprooted.
English translation of verse 2.23.42:
Grabbing him with His powerful arms, Kṛṣṇa whirled the demon around and threw him to the ground as a hurricane uproots and throws a lotus flower.
