The Garga-samhita Verse 2.23.40, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. तस्मै चिक्षेप भगवान्
शाल-वृक्षं भुजौजसा
तेन घातेन पतितो
वृक्षो वात-हतो यथा

tasmai cikṣepa bhagavān
śāla-vṛkṣaṃ bhujaujasā
tena ghātena patito
vṛkṣo vāta-hato yathā

tasmai—at him; cikṣepa—threw; bhagavānthe Lored; śāla-vṛkṣam—the sala tree; bhujaujasā—with the strength of His arms; tena—by that; ghātena—blow; patitaḥ—fell; vṛkṣaḥ—the tree; vātaby the wind; hataḥ—struck; yathā—as.

English translation of verse 2.23.40:

With His mighty arm the Lord threw the śāla tree at him. The demon fell like a tree struck by a hurricane.
