शङ्खचूडः प्रपतितः
किञ्चिद् व्याकुल-मानसः
कंसं गृहीत्वा नभसि
चिक्षेपायुत-योजनम्
śaṅkhacūḍaḥ prapatitaḥ
kiñcid vyākula-mānasaḥ
kaṃsaṃ gṛhītvā nabhasi
cikṣepāyuta-yojanam
śaṅkhacūḍaḥ—Śaṅkhacūḍa; prapatitaḥ—fell; ki 24cit—somewhat; vyākula-mānasaḥ—disturbed; kaṃsam—to Kaṃsa; gṛhītvā—grabbing; naqbhasi—into the sky; cikṣepa—threw; ayuta-yojanam—eighty-thousand miles.
English translation of verse 2.23.18:
When Śaṅkhacūḍa fell he was a somewhat disturbed. Grabbing Kaṃsa, Śaṅkhacūḍa threw him eighty-thousand miles into the sky.
