श्री-नारद उवाच
अथ कृष्णो गोपिकाभिर्
लोहजाङ्घवनं ययौ
वसन्त-माधवीभिश् च
लताभिः सङ्कुलं नृप
śrī-nārada uvāca
atha kṛṣṇo gopikābhir
lohajāṅghavanaṃ yayau
vasanta-mādhavībhiś ca
latābhiḥ saṅkulaṃ nṛpa
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; atha—then; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; gopikābhiḥ—with the gopīs; lohajāṅghavanam——to Lohajāṅghavana; yayau—went; vasanta—springtime; mādhavībhiḥ—witn madhavi vines; ca—and; latābhiḥ—with vines; saṅkulam—filled; nṛpa—O king.
English translation of verse 2.23.1:
Śrī Nārada said: O king, then Lord Kṛṣṇa and the gopīs went to Lohajaṅghavana forest, which was filled with flowering mādhavī vines.
