जानन्ति सन्तः सम-दर्शिनो ये
दन्ता महान्तः किल नैरपेक्ष्याः
ते नैरपेक्ष्यं परमं सुखं मे
ज्ञानेन्द्रियादीनि यथा रसादीन्
jānanti santaḥ sama-darśino ye
dantā mahāntaḥ kila nairapekṣyāḥ
te nairapekṣyaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ me
jñānendriyādīni yathā rasādīn
jānanti—know; santaḥ—the saintly devotees; sama-darśinaḥ—who see equally; ye—who; dantā—self-controlled; mahāntaḥ—great souls; kila—indeed; nairapekṣyāḥ—neutral; te—they; nairapekṣyam—neutrality; paramam—great; sukham—happiness; me—of Me; j 24ānendriyādīni—the senses; yathā—as; rasa—taste; ādīn—beginning with.
English translation of verse 2.22.24:
Saintly devotees who have generous hearts, who see everyone equally, who control their senses, and who are aloof from material things, find in their renunciation a great happiness that I give to them. They find it just as the senses find happiness in the sensations that being with taste.
