दुःखिता भवतीर् ज्ञात्वा
निद्रं त्यक्त्वा ततः प्रियाः
सहसा भक्त-वश्यो ऽहं
पुनर् आगतवान् इह
duḥkhitā bhavatīr jñātvā
nidraṃ tyaktvā tataḥ priyāḥ
sahasā bhakta-vaśyo 'haṃ
punar āgatavān iha
duḥkhitā—unhappy; bhavatīḥ—You; j 24ātvā—understanding; nidram—sleep; tyaktvā—leaving; tataḥ—then; priyāḥ—O beloveds; sahasā—at once; bhakta—by devotion; vaśyaḥ—conquered; aham—I; punaḥ—again; āgatavān—came; iha—here.
English translation of verse 2.22.23:
O My beloveds, when I became aware that You were suffering, I left my nap and came here at once. Your pure devotion has transformed Me into your submissive servant.
