स्फुरत्-किरीट-केयूर-
कुण्डलाङ्गद-भूषणम्
स्निग्धामल-सुगन्धाढ्य-
नील-कुञ्चित-कुन्तलम्
आगतं वीक्ष्य युगपत्
समुत्तस्थुर् व्राजाङ्गनाः
तन्-मात्राणि च यं दृष्ट्वा
यथा ज्ञानेन्द्रियाणि च
sphurat-kirīṭa-keyūra-
kuṇḍalāṅgada-bhūṣaṇam
snigdhāmala-sugandhāḍhya-
nīla-kuñcita-kuntalam
āgataṃ vīkṣya yugapat
samuttasthur vrājāṅganāḥ
tan-mātrāṇi ca yaṃ dṛṣṭvā
yathā jñānendriyāṇi ca

Seeing that Kṛṣṇa, decorated with a glittering crown, armlets, earrings, bracelets, and His handsome glistening black curly hair very glorious, had come, the gopīs at once stood up, as the senses stand up when they see the sense-objects.
