श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्थं राजन् रुदन्तीनां
गोपीनां कमलेक्षणः
आविर्बभूव सहसा
स्वयम् अर्थम् इवात्मनः
śrī-nārada uvāca
itthaṃ rājan rudantīnāṃ
gopīnāṃ kamalekṣaṇaḥ
āvirbabhūva sahasā
svayam artham ivātmanaḥ
śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ittham—thus; rājan—O king; rudantīnām—weeping; gopīnām—of the gopīs; kamala—lotus; īkṣaṇaḥ—eyes; āvirbabhūva—became manifested; sahasā—suddenly; svayam—personally; artham—benefit; iva—as if; ātmanaḥ—of the self.
English translation of verse 2.22.11:
Śrī Nārada said: O king, as the gopīs wept, lotus-eyed Kṛṣṇa suddenly appeared, as if to fulfill their desire.
