The Garga-samhita Verse 2.22.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 22 (The Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
अथ कृष्ण-गुणान् रम्यान्
समेताः सर्व-योषितः
जगुस् ताल-स्वरै रम्यैः
कृष्णागमन-हेतवे

śrī-nārada uvāca
atha kṛṣṇa-guṇān ramyān
sametāḥ sarva-yoṣitaḥ
jagus tāla-svarai ramyaiḥ
kṛṣṇāgamana-hetave

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; athathen; kṛṣṇa-guṇān—the virtues of Kṛṣṇa; ramyān—delightful; sametāḥ—assembled; sarvaall; yoṣitaḥ—the women; jaguḥ—sang; tāla-svarai—with karatalas; ramyaiḥ—delightful; kṛṣṇa—of Kṛṣṇa; āgamana—the arrival; hetave—to cause.

English translation of verse 2.22.1:

Śrī Nārada said: Then, to attract Kṛṣṇa there, all the girls came together and, sweetly playing the karatālas, sang songs about the beautiful virtues of Kṛṣṇa.
