श्री-राधोवाच
चलितुं न समर्थाहं
मन्दिरान् न विनिर्गता
सुकुमारी स्वेद-युक्ता
कथं मां नयसि प्रिय

śrī-rādhovāca
calituṃ na samarthāhaṃ
mandirān na vinirgatā
sukumārī sveda-yuktā
kathaṃ māṃ nayasi priya

śrī-rādhā uvāca—Śrī Rādhā said; calitum—to move; na—not; samarthā—able; aham—I am; mandirān—from the palace; na—not; vinirgatā—come; sukumārīdelicate; sveda-yuktāperspiring; katham—how?; mām—Me; nayasi—You will lead; priyaO beloved.

English translation of verse 2.21.31:

I cannot move. I cannot leave this palace. I am only a delicate girl. I am perspiring. O beloved, how can You lead Me away from here?
