स्वामिन्यास् तत्र शृङ्गारं
चक्रुः सख्यो मुदान्वितः
श्रीखण्ड-कुङ्कुमाद्यैश् च
यावकागुरु-कज्जलैः
svāminyās tatra śṛṅgāraṃ
cakruḥ sakhyo mudānvitaḥ
śrīkhaṇḍa-kuṅkumādyaiś ca
yāvakāguru-kajjalaiḥ
svāminyāḥ—of their mistress; tatra—there; śṛṅgāram—decoration; cakruḥ—did; sakhyaḥ—the friends; mudānvitaḥ—happy; śrīkhaṇḍa—sandal; kuṅkuma—kunkuma; ādyaiḥ—beginning with; ca—and; yāvaka—yavaka; aguru—aguru; kajjalaiḥ—and kajjala.
English translation of verse 2.20.4:
There the happy gopī friends decorated their queen, Rādhā, with sandal, kuṅkuma, yāvaka, aguru, and kajjala.
