The Garga-samhita Verse 2.20.4, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. स्वामिन्यास् तत्र शृङ्गारं
चक्रुः सख्यो मुदान्वितः
श्रीखण्ड-कुङ्कुमाद्यैश् च
यावकागुरु-कज्जलैः

svāminyās tatra śṛṅgāraṃ
cakruḥ sakhyo mudānvitaḥ
śrīkhaṇḍa-kuṅkumādyaiś ca
yāvakāguru-kajjalaiḥ

svāminyāḥ—of their mistress; tatra—there; śṛṅgāram—decoration; cakruḥ—did; sakhyaḥthe friends; mudānvitaḥhappy; śrīkhaṇḍasandal; kuṅkumakunkuma; ādyaiḥ—beginning with; ca—and; yāvakayavaka; aguruaguru; kajjalaiḥ—and kajjala.

English translation of verse 2.20.4:

There the happy gopī friends decorated their queen, Rādhā, with sandal, kuṅkuma, yāvaka, aguru, and kajjala.
