श्री-नारद उवाच
अथ कृष्णो हरिर् वारि-
लीलां कृत्वा मनोहरः
सर्वैर् गोपी-गणैः सार्धं
गिरिं गोवर्धनं ययौ
śrī-nārada uvāca
atha kṛṣṇo harir vāri-
līlāṃ kṛtvā manoharaḥ
sarvair gopī-gaṇaiḥ sārdhaṃ
giriṃ govardhanaṃ yayau
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; atha—then; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; hariḥ—Hari; vāri—water; līlām—pastimes; kṛtvā—doing; manoharaḥ—handsome; sarvaiḥ— with all; gopī-gaṇaiḥ—the gopīs; sārdham—with;; girim—Hill; govardhanam—Govardhana; yayau—went.
English translation of verse 2.20.1:
Śrī Nārada said: After enjoying water pastimes, handsome Lord Kṛṣṇa went with the gopīs to Govardhana Hill.
