श्री-हस्त-सन्ताडित-वारि-बिन्दुभिः
स्फारासम-स्फुर्जित-शीकर-द्युतिः
वृन्दावनेशो व्रज-सुन्दरीभी
रेजे गजीभिर् गज-राड् इव स्वयम्
śrī-hasta-santāḍita-vāri-bindubhiḥ
sphārāsama-sphurjita-śīkara-dyutiḥ
vṛndāvaneśo vraja-sundarībhī
reje gajībhir gaja-rāḍ iva svayam
śrī—beautiful; hasta—hand; santāḍita—struck; vāri—of water; bindubhiḥ—with drops; sphāra—great; asama—unequalled; sphurjita—manifested; śīkara—splash; dyutiḥ—splendor; vṛndāvaneśaḥ—the king of Vṛndāvana; vraja-sundarībhī—with the beautiful girls of Vraja; reje—shone; gajībhiḥ—with female elephants; gaja-rāḍ—an elephant king; iva—like; svayam—personally.
English translation of verse 2.19.40:
With His glorious hand splashing an unequalled shower of water drops, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the king of Vṛndāvana, enjoyed with the beautiful girls of Vraja as an elephant king enjoys with many female elephants.
