विरेजुः कृष्णचन्द्रैश् च
यथा शक्रैः सुराङ्गनाः
वरं विहारं कृष्णायां
चकार मधुसूदनः
virejuḥ kṛṣṇacandraiś ca
yathā śakraiḥ surāṅganāḥ
varaṃ vihāraṃ kṛṣṇāyāṃ
cakāra madhusūdanaḥ
virejuḥ—they shone; kṛṣṇacandraiḥ—with many Kṛṣṇacandras; ca—and; yathā—as; śakraiḥ—with Indras; surāṅganāḥ—demigoddesses; varam—excellent; vihāram—pastime; kṛṣṇāyām—in the Yamunā; cakāra—did; madhusūdanaḥ—Kṛṣṇa.
English translation of verse 2.19.37:
The gopīs shone with many Lord Kṛṣṇacandras as the demigoddesses shine with many Indras. Then Lord Kṛṣṇa enjoyed pastimes in the Yamunā.
