The Garga-samhita Verse 2.19.35, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 19 (The Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

वृन्दावने रास-रङ्गे
रत्येव मदनो यथा
धृत्वा रूपानि तावन्ति
यावन्ति व्रज-योषितः

vṛndāvane rāsa-raṅge
ratyeva madano yathā
dhṛtvā rūpāni tāvanti
yāvanti vraja-yoṣitaḥ

vṛndāvane—in Vṛndāvana; rāsa-raṅge—in the rasa-dance arena; ratyā—with Rati; iva—like; madanaḥKāmadeva; yathā—as; dhṛtvā—taking; rūpāni—the forms; tāvanti—so; yāvanti—as; vraja-yoṣitaḥ—the women of Vraja.

English translation of verse 2.19.35:

It was as if Kāmadeva and Rati had taken the forms of Lord Kṛṣṇa and the girls of Vraja in the rāsa-dance arena.
