The Garga-samhita Verse 2.19.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 19 (The Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

ललितया विशाखाया
माया-यूथाः समाययौ
एवं त्व् अष्ट-सखीनां च
सखीनां किल षोडश

lalitayā viśākhāyā
māyā-yūthāḥ samāyayau
evaṃ tv aṣṭa-sakhīnāṃ ca
sakhīnāṃ kila ṣoḍaśa

lalitāyāḥ—of lalitā; viśākhāyāḥ—of Viśākhā; māyāof Goddess Lakṣmī; yūthāḥ—the groups; samāyayau—came; evam—thus; tv—indeed; aṣṭaeight; sakhīnām—of friends; ca—and; sakhīnām—of gopī friends; kilaindeed; ṣoḍaśasixteen.

English translation of verse 2.19.23:

Then the groups led by Lalitā, Viśākhā, and goddess Lakṣmī came. In this way the eight principal friends of Śrī Rādhā came and sixteen more friends also came.
