गोवर्धन-निवासिन्यः
काश्चित् कुञ्ज-विधायिकाः
तन्-निकुञ्ज-निवासिन्यो
नर्तक्यो वाद्य-तत्-पराः

govardhana-nivāsinyaḥ
kāścit kuñja-vidhāyikāḥ
tan-nikuñja-nivāsinyo
nartakyo vādya-tat-parāḥ

govardhana-nivāsinyaḥ—living on Govardhana Hill; kāścit—some; kuñjathe groves; vidhāyikāḥ—arranging; tan-nikuñja-nivāsinyaḥ—residing in the forest groves; nartakyaḥ—dancers; vādya-tat-parāḥ—instrumentalists.

English translation of verse 2.19.16:

. . . some lived on Govardhana Hill, some decorated the forest groves, some stayed in the forest groves, some were dancers, and some played musical instruments.
