श्री-गोपदेवतोवाच
दूरे वै नन्द-नगरं
सन्ध्या जाता व्रजेश्वरि
प्रभाते चागमिष्यामि
त्वत्-सकाशं न संशयः
śrī-gopadevatovāca
dūre vai nanda-nagaraṃ
sandhyā jātā vrajeśvari
prabhāte cāgamiṣyāmi
tvat-sakāśaṃ na saṃśayaḥ
śrī-gopadevatā uvāca—Śrī Gopadevatā said; dūre—far away; vai—certainly; nanda-nagaram—in nandanagara; sandhyā—sunset; jātā—has come; vrajeśvari—O queen of Vraja; prabhāte—at sunrise; ca—and; āgamiṣyāmi—I will come; tvat-sakāśam—near You; na—no; saṃśayaḥ—doubt.
English translation of verse 2.17.37:
Śrī Gopadevatā said: O queen of Vraja, sunset has come. Nandanagara is far away. At sunrise I will return to You. Of this there is no doubt.
