श्री-नारद उवाच
एवं वदन्तीं तुलसीं हरि-प्रियां
नत्वाथ राधा वृषभानु-नन्दिनी
प्रत्याह गोविन्द-पदारविन्दयोर्
भक्तिर् भवेन् मे विदिता ह्य् अहैतुकी
śrī-nārada uvāca
evaṃ vadantīṃ tulasīṃ hari-priyāṃ
natvātha rādhā vṛṣabhānu-nandinī
pratyāha govinda-padāravindayor
bhaktir bhaven me viditā hy ahaitukī
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; evam—thus; vadantīm—speaking; tulasīm—to Tulasī; hari-priyām—dear to Lord Kṛṣṇa; natvā—bowing down; atha—then; rādhā—Rādhā; vṛṣabhānu—of King Vṛṣabhānu; nandinīthe daughter; pratyāha—replied; govinda-padāravindayoḥ—for the lotus feet of Lord Kṛṣṇa; bhaktiḥ—devotion; bhavet—may be; me—of me; viditā—known; hy—indeed; ahaitukī—unmotivated.
English translation of verse 2.16.37:
Śrī Nārada said: To Tulasī, who has spoken these words and who was dear to Lord Kṛṣṇa, Rādhā, the daughter of King Vṛṣabhānu, bowed down and said: May I have unalloyed devotion for Lord Kṛṣṇa's lotus feet.
