The Garga-samhita Verse 2.14.19, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 14 (Description of Kaliya’s Story) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

नत्वा प्रणम्य तं शेषं
परिक्रम्य कृताञ्जलिः
दीनो भयातुरः प्राह
दीर्घ-पृष्ठः प्रकम्पितः

natvā praṇamya taṃ śeṣaṃ
parikramya kṛtāñjaliḥ
dīno bhayāturaḥ prāha
dīrgha-pṛṣṭhaḥ prakampitaḥ

natvā praṇamya—bowing down; tam—to Him; śeṣam—Śeṣa; parikramya—circumambulating; kṛtāñaliḥ—folded hands; dīnaḥ—humble; bhayāturaḥ—frightened; prāha—said; dīrgha-pṛṣṭhaḥ—the snake; prakampitaḥ—trembling.

English translation of verse 2.14.19:

Bowing down before Lord Śeṣa and circumambulating Him with folded hands, the humbled, trembling, frightened snake spoke.
