The Garga-samhita Verse 2.14.17, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 14 (Description of Kaliya’s Story) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

यत्रैव गरुडे प्राप्ते
ऽधो ऽधो लोकं पुनर् गतः
श्री-कृष्णस्य भयात् के ऽपि
रक्षां तस्य न सन्दधुः

yatraiva garuḍe prāpte
'dho 'dho lokaṃ punar gataḥ
śrī-kṛṣṇasya bhayāt ke 'pi
rakṣāṃ tasya na sandadhuḥ

yatrawhere; eva—indeed; garuḍe—Garuḍa; prāpte—attained; adhaḥlower; adhaḥ—and lower; lokam—worlds; punaḥ—again; gataḥgone; śrī-kṛṣṇasya—of Kṛṣṇa; bhayāt—from the fear; ke api—someone; rakṣām—protection; tasya—of him; na—not; sandadhuḥ—gave.

English translation of verse 2.14.17:

Then he fled to the lower planets, going lower and lower. Wherever he went, Garuḍa was there. No one saved him from his fear of Lord Kṛṣṇa's devotee.
