The Garga-samhita Verse 2.12.25, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 12 (Subduing Kaliya and Drinking the Forest Fire) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

अथ श्रुत्वा कालियेन
सङ्ग्रस्तं नन्द-नन्दनम्
तत्राजग्मुर् गोप-गणा
नन्दाद्यः सकला जनाः

atha śrutvā kāliyena
saṅgrastaṃ nanda-nandanam
tatrājagmur gopa-gaṇā
nandādyaḥ sakalā janāḥ

athathen; śrutvāafter hearing; kāliyena—by Kāliya; saṅgrastam—grabbed; nanda-nandanam—Kṛṣṇa; tatra—there; ājagmuḥ—came; gopa-gaṇāḥ—the gopas; nandādyaḥ—headed by Nanda; sakalāall; janāḥ—the people.

English translation of verse 2.12.25:

Hearing that Kṛṣṇa was captured by Kāliya, Nanda Mahārāja and all the cowherd people came there.
