पाहि पाहि पर-देव पन्नगं त्वत्-परं न शरणं जगत्-त्रये
त्वं परात् परतरो हरिः स्वयं
लीलया किल तनोषि विग्रहम्
pāhi pāhi para-deva pannagaṃ tvat-paraṃ na śaraṇaṃ jagat-traye
tvaṃ parāt parataro hariḥ svayaṃ
līlayā kila tanoṣi vigraham
pāhi—save; pāhi—save; para-deva—O Supreme Lord; pannagaṃ—this snake; tvat-param—devoted to You; na—not; śaraṇam—shelter; jagat—worlds; traye—in the three; tvam—You; parāt—than the greatest; parataraḥ—greater; hariḥ—Kṛṣṇa; svayam—personally; līlayā—with pastimes; kila—indeed; tanoṣi—manifest; vigraham—this form.
English translation of verse 2.12.20:
Save, Save this snake, O Supreme Lord! In the three worlds there is no shelter but You! You are Lord Hari, who is greater than the greatest. As You enjoy Your pastimes You appear in many forms.
