श्री-नारद उवाच
एकदा स-बलः कृष्णश्
चारयन् गा मनोहराः
गोपालैः सहितः सर्वैर्
ययौ तालवनं नवम्
śrī-nārada uvāca
ekadā sa-balaḥ kṛṣṇaś
cārayan gā manoharāḥ
gopālaiḥ sahitaḥ sarvair
yayau tālavanaṃ navam
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ekadā—one day; sa-balaḥ—with Balarāma; kṛṣṇaś—Kṛṣṇa; cārayan—herding; gā—the cows; manoharāḥ—beautiful; gopālaiḥ—with the gopas; sahitaḥ—with; sarvaiḥ—all; yayau—went; tālavanam—to Talavana; navam—new.
English translation of verse 2.11.1:
One day, as He was herding the beautiful cows with Balarāma and all the gopas, Kṛṣṇa went to newly-blossoming Tālavana forest.
