वयं तु गोप-देशेषु
संस्थिताश् च शिवादयः
सकृत् कृष्णं तु पश्यन्तस्
तस्माद् धन्याश् च भारते
vayaṃ tu gopa-deśeṣu
saṃsthitāś ca śivādayaḥ
sakṛt kṛṣṇaṃ tu paśyantas
tasmād dhanyāś ca bhārate
vayam—we; tu—indeed; gopa-deśeṣu—in the places of the gopas; saṃsthitāś—situated; ca—and; śivādayaḥ—headed by Lord Śiva; sakṛt—once; kṛṣṇam—Kṛṣṇa; tu—indeed; paśyantaḥ—seeing; tasmāt—from that; dhanyāś—fortunate; ca—and; bhārate—on the earth.
English translation of verse 2.9.44:
When we demigods, who have Śiva as our leader, enter the lands of the gopas and once gaze on Lord Kṛṣṇa, then we will be fortunate.
