तस्मात् क्षमस्व गोविन्द
प्रसीद त्वं ममोपरि
अगणय्यापराधां मे
सुतोपरि पिता यथा
tasmāt kṣamasva govinda
prasīda tvaṃ mamopari
agaṇayyāparādhāṃ me
sutopari pitā yathā
tasmāt—therefore; kṣamasva—please forgive; govinda—O Govinda; prasīda—be merciful; tvam—You; mama upari—to me; agaṇayya—not counting; aparādham—the offense; me—of me; suta upari—to a son; pitā—a father; yathā—as.
English translation of verse 2.9.38:
O Govinda, please forgive me. Please be merciful to me. As a father does not consider his son's actions an offense, please do not take offense with me.
