शरच्-चन्द्राकारं नख-मणि-समूहं सुख-करं
सु-रक्तं हृत्-पूर्णं प्रकटित-तमः-खण्डन-करम्
भजे ऽहं ब्रह्माण्डे सकल-नर-पापाभिदलनं
हरेर् विष्णोर् देवैर् दिवि भरत-खण्डे स्तुतम् अलम्
śarac-candrākāraṃ nakha-maṇi-samūhaṃ sukha-karaṃ
su-raktaṃ hṛt-pūrṇaṃ prakaṭita-tamaḥ-khaṇḍana-karam
bhaje 'haṃ brahmāṇḍe sakala-nara-pāpābhidalanaṃ
harer viṣṇor devair divi bharata-khaṇḍe stutam alam
śarat—autumn; candra—moon; ākāram—form; nakha—nails; maṇi—jewels; samūham—multitude; sukha-karam—delighting; su-raktam—red; hṛt—chest; pūrṇam—full; prakaṭita—manifested; tamaḥ—darkness; khaṇḍana-karam—breaking; bhaje—worship; aham—I; brahmāṇḍe—in the universe; sakala—all; nara—people; pāpa—sins; abhidalanam—destruction; hareḥ—of Lord Hari; viṣṇoḥ—of Lord Viṣṇu; devaiḥ—by the the demigods; divi—in heaven; bharata-khaṇḍe—on the earth; stutam—praised; alam—greatly.
English translation of verse 2.9.22:
I worship handsome Lord Viṣṇu's delightful reddish jewel nails, which fill the heart, break the darkness, crush the sins of everyone in the universe, and are praised on the earth and by the demigods in heaven.
