हरति कमल-मानं लोल-मुक्ताभिमानं
धरणि-रसिक-दानं कामदेवस्य बाणम्
श्रवण-विदित-यानं नेत्र-युग्म-प्रयानं
भज यद् उत समक्षं दान-दक्षं कटाक्षम्
harati kamala-mānaṃ lola-muktābhimānaṃ
dharaṇi-rasika-dānaṃ kāmadevasya bāṇam
śravaṇa-vidita-yānaṃ netra-yugma-prayānaṃ
bhaja yad uta samakṣaṃ dāna-dakṣaṃ kaṭākṣam
harati—removes; kamala—of the lotus; mānam—the pride; lola—moving; muktā—pearl; abhimānam—pride; dharaṇi—on the earth; rasika—they who taste nectar; dānam—gift; kāmadevasya—of Kāmadeva; bāṇam—the arrow; śravaṇa—to the ears; vidita—known; yānam—journey; netra-yugma—eyes; prayānam—journey; bhaja—worship; yat—whcih; uta—indeed; samakṣam—before the eyes; dāna-dakṣam—expert atgiving charity; kaṭākṣam—the sidelong glance.
English translation of verse 2.9.21:
Worship Kṛṣṇa's sidelong glance, which eclipses the pride of the lotus and the moving string of pearls, which travels almost to His ears, which is Kāmadeva's arrow, and which, laden with gifts for they who taste nectar in this world, is expert at giving charity.
