स त्वं साक्षात् कृष्णचन्द्रावतारो
नन्दस्यापि पुत्रताम् आगतः कौ
वृन्दारण्ये गोप-वेशेन वत्सान्
गोपैर् मुख्यैश् चारयन् भ्राजसे वै
sa tvaṃ sākṣāt kṛṣṇacandrāvatāro
nandasyāpi putratām āgataḥ kau
vṛndāraṇye gopa-veśena vatsān
gopair mukhyaiś cārayan bhrājase vai
saḥ—He; tvam—You; sākṣāt—directly; kṛṣṇacandrāvatāraḥ—the incarnation Lord Kṛṣṇacandra; nandasya—of nanda; api—even; putratām—in the status og being the son; āgataḥ—come; kau—to the earth; vṛndāraṇye—in Vṛndāvana; gopa-veśena—in the garments of a gopa; vatsān—the calves; gopaiḥ—with the gopas; mukhyaiḥ—most important; cārayan—herding; bhrājase—You are splendidly manifested; vai—certainly.
English translation of verse 2.9.3:
You are the same Lord Kṛṣṇacandra. You have come to the earth and become the son of Mahārāja Nanda. Appearing like an ordinary cowherd boy, and herding the calves in the company of many gopas, You are splendidly manifest.
