एवं विचार्य रामस् तु
लोचने स्वे न्यमिलयत्
भूतं भाव्यं भविष्यं च
दिव्याक्षाभ्यां ददर्श ह

evaṃ vicārya rāmas tu
locane sve nyamilayat
bhūtaṃ bhāvyaṃ bhaviṣyaṃ ca
divyākṣābhyāṃ dadarśa ha

evam—in this way; vicāryathinking; rāmaḥBalarāma; tu—indeed; locane—eyes; sve—own; nyamilayat—closed; bhūtam—was; bhāvyam—is; bhaviṣyam—will be; ca—and; divyatranscendental; akṣābhyām—with eyes; dadarśa—saw; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 2.8.22:

Thinking this, Balarāma closed His eyes. Then with transcendental eyes He looked at the past, present, and future.
