ततः क्रोधेन महता
पर्वताद् अवतीर्य च
तादनार्थे स्व-पुत्राणां
आजग्मुः कच्छतो द्रुतम्
tataḥ krodhena mahatā
parvatād avatīrya ca
tādanārthe sva-putrāṇāṃ
ājagmuḥ kacchato drutam
tataḥ—then; krodhena—with anger; mahatā—great; parvatāt—from the hill; avatīrya—descending; ca—and; tādana-arthe—to punish; sva-putrāṇām—own sons; ājagmuḥ—came; kacchataḥ—vicinity; drutam—quickly.
English translation of verse 2.8.16:
As the men came down from the hill to hit the cows, they suddenly came upon their own sons.
