गोवर्धनाद् अधो वत्सान्
पीत-दुग्धान् विलोक्य च
स्नेहावृतः स्थिता गाश् च
गोपाल दादृशुर् नृप
govardhanād adho vatsān
pīta-dugdhān vilokya ca
snehāvṛtaḥ sthitā gāś ca
gopāla dādṛśur nṛpa
govardhanāt—Govardhana Hill; adhaḥ—below; vatsān—the calves; pīta—drunk; dugdhān—the milk; vilokya—seeing; ca—and; snehāvṛtaḥ—filled with affection; sthitā—situated; gāḥ—the cows; ca—and; gopāla—gopas; dādṛśuḥ—saw; nṛpa—O king.
English translation of verse 2.8.15:
O king, the cowherd men saw the calves, who had already drunk their (mothers') milk, staying below Govardhana Hill, and they saw the cows, overcome with love for their calves, also staying there.
