The Garga-samhita Verse 2.8.5, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 8 (Description of Seeing Lord Krishna) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

आत्म-वत्सान् आत्म-गोपैश्
चारयन् क्रीडया हरिः
प्रविशन् नन्द-नगरं
अष्टम्-गिरि-गते रवौ

ātma-vatsān ātma-gopaiś
cārayan krīḍayā hariḥ
praviśan nanda-nagaraṃ
aṣṭam-giri-gate ravau

ātmaself; vatsān—calves; ātma—self; gopaiḥ—with gopas; cārayan—hering; krīḍayā—with pastimes; hariḥKṛṣṇa; praviśan—entered; nanda-nagaram—the village of Nanda; aṣṭam-giri-gate—on the western horizon; ravau—the sun.

English translation of verse 2.8.5:

As the sun was setting on the western horizon, Kṛṣṇa, herding calves that were in truth Himself, and accompanied by gopas that were also Himself, playfully entered Nanda's village.
