The Garga-samhita Verse 2.7.25, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 7 (Kidnapping of the Calves and Cowherd Boys) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

वामे पाणौ च कवलं
ह्य् अङ्गुलिषु फलानि च
शिरसा मुकुटं बिभ्रत्
स्कन्धे पीत-पटं तथा

vāme pāṇau ca kavalaṃ
hy aṅguliṣu phalāni ca
śirasā mukuṭaṃ bibhrat
skandhe pīta-paṭaṃ tathā

vāme—in the left; pāṇau—hand; ca—and; kavalama morsel of food; hi—indeed; aṅguliṣu—in the fingers; phalāni—fruits; ca—and; śirasā—by the head; mukuṭam—a crown; bibhrat—holding; skandhe—on the shoulders; pīta-paṭam—yellow garments; tathā—so.

English translation of verse 2.7.25:

. . . in His left hand a morsel of food, on His fingers pieces of fruit, on His head a crown, over His shoulder a yellow cloth, . . .
