ततो ददौ च कवलं
श्रीदामा माधवाय च
अन्यान् सर्वान् बहु-श्रेष्ठं
जगुः सर्वे व्रजार्भकाः
tato dadau ca kavalaṃ
śrīdāmā mādhavāya ca
anyān sarvān bahu-śreṣṭhaṃ
jaguḥ sarve vrajārbhakāḥ
tataḥ—then; dadau—gave; ca—and; kavalam—a morsel; śrīdāmā—Śrīdāmā; mādhavāya—to Kṛṣṇa; ca—and; anyān—the others; sarvān—all; bahu-śreṣṭham—the best; jaguḥ—said; sarve—all; vraja—of Vraja; arbhakāḥ—the boys.
English translation of verse 2.7.20:
Then Śrīdāmā gave a morsel to Kṛṣṇa and the other boys. All the boys of Vraja declared, "This is the best."
