रेजे ततः सो वर-गोप-दारकैर्
यथामरेशो ह्य् अमरैश् च सर्वतः
पुनर् यथाम्भोरुह-कोमलैर् दलैर्
मध्ये तु वैदेह सुवर्ण-कर्णिका
reje tataḥ so vara-gopa-dārakair
yathāmareśo hy amaraiś ca sarvataḥ
punar yathāmbhoruha-komalair dalair
madhye tu vaideha suvarṇa-karṇikā
reje—shone; tataḥ—then; saḥ—He; vara-gopa-dārakaiḥ—with the gopa boys; yathā—as; amara—of the demigods; īśaḥ—the king; hi—indeed; amaraiḥ—with the demigods; ca—and; sarvataḥ—all; punaḥ—again; yathā—as; ambhoruha—lotus; komalaiḥ—soft; dalaiḥ—with petals; madhye—in the middle; tu—indeed; vaideha—O king of Videha; suvarṇa—golden; karṇikā—whorl.
English translation of verse 2.7.13:
O king of Videha, surrounded by the gopa boys as Indra is surrounded by the demigods or a lotus whorl is surrounded by many soft petals, Kṛṣṇa shone with great splendor.
