The Garga-samhita Verse 2.6.24, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 6 (The Liberation of Aghasura) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्थं वदन्तीं सततं रुदन्तीं
यशोमतीं वीक्ष्य जगाद नन्दः
आश्वासयाम् आस सु-गर्ग-वाक्यैर्
धर्मार्थ-विद् धर्म-भृतां वरिष्ठः

śrī-nārada uvāca
itthaṃ vadantīṃ satataṃ rudantīṃ
yaśomatīṃ vīkṣya jagāda nandaḥ
āśvāsayām āsa su-garga-vākyair
dharmārtha-vid dharma-bhṛtāṃ variṣṭhaḥ

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ittham—thus; vadantīm—speaking; satatam—again and again; rudantīm—weeping; yaśomatīm—Yaśodā; vīkṣyaseeing; jagāda—spoke; nandaḥNanda; āśvāsayām āsa—comforted; su-garga-vākyaiḥ—with the words of Garga Muni; dharmārtha-vit—who understood the meaning of religion; dharma-bhṛtām—of the pious; variṣṭhaḥ—the best.

English translation of verse 2.6.24:

Śrī Nārada said: Glancing at Yaśodā as she spoke these words and wept, Nanda, who was the best of the pious and who understood the true meaning of religion, spoke to her. He comforted her by repeating the words of Garga Muni.
