The Garga-samhita Verse 2.4.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 4 (The Liberation of Vatsasura) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

दिवि देवा जय-रवैः
पुष्प-वर्षं प्रचक्रिरे
तद् दैत्यस्य महज् ज्योतिः
कृष्णे लीनं बभूव ह

divi devā jaya-ravaiḥ
puṣpa-varṣaṃ pracakrire
tad daityasya mahaj jyotiḥ
kṛṣṇe līnaṃ babhūva ha

diviin heaven; devāthe demigods; jaya-ravaiḥ—with sounds of "Victory!"; puṣpa-varṣam—a shower of flowers; pracakrire—did; tat—that; daityasya—of the demon; mahatgreat; jyotiḥ—light; kṛṣṇe—in Kṛṣṇa; līnam—entered; babhūva—became; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 2.4.23:

. . . the demigods in heaven showered flowers amid shouts of "Victory!" Then from the demon came a great light then entered Lord Kṛṣṇa.
