धावन् गोपेषु सर्वत्र
लङ्गुलं चालयन् मुहुः
दैत्यः पश्चिम-पादाभ्यां
हरिम् अंसे तताद ह

dhāvan gopeṣu sarvatra
laṅgulaṃ cālayan muhuḥ
daityaḥ paścima-pādābhyāṃ
harim aṃse tatāda ha

dhāvan—running; gopeṣu—among the gopas; sarvatraeverywhere; laṅgulam—his tail; cālayan—moving; muhuḥ—again and again; daityaḥ—the demon; paścima-pādābhyām—with his hind legs; harim—Kṛṣṇa; aṃse—on the shoulder; tatāda—struck; ha—certainly.

English translation of verse 2.4.19:

Moving his tail as he ran among the gopas, with his hind legs the demon struck Kṛṣṇa on the shoulder.
