The Garga-samhita Verses 2.4.9-10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 4 (The Liberation of Vatsasura) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

सभा-मण्डप-सम्युक्तं
स-दुर्गं परिखा-युतम्
चतुर्-योजन-विस्तीर्णं
सप्त-द्वार-समन्वितम्
सरोवरैः परिवृतं
राज-मार्गं मनोहरम्
सहस्र-कुञ्जं च पुरं
वृषभानुर् अचीक्ल्पत्

sabhā-maṇḍapa-samyuktaṃ
sa-durgaṃ parikhā-yutam
catur-yojana-vistīrṇaṃ
sapta-dvāra-samanvitam
sarovaraiḥ parivṛtaṃ
rāja-mārgaṃ manoharam
sahasra-kuñjaṃ ca puraṃ
vṛṣabhānur acīklpat

sabhāwith assembly rooms; maṇḍapaand pavilions; samyuktam—endowed; sa-durgam—with a fort; parikhā-yutam—with a moat; catuḥfour; yojanayojanas; vistīrṇam—in size; sapta-dvāra-samanvitam—with seven gates; sarovaraiḥ—with lakes; parivṛtam—surrounded; rāja-mārgam—a royal road; manoharam—beautiful; sahasraa thousand; kuñjam—groves; ca—and; purama city; vṛṣabhānuḥKing Vṛṣabhānu; acīklpat—built.

English translation of verses 2.4.9-10:

Mahārāja Vṛṣabhānu built a beautiful city with many assembly-houses, pavilions, lakes, royal roads, and a thousand gardens. Everything was surrounded by a fortress with seven gates and a moat four yojanas around.
