नोत्थितं भूरि-भाराढ्यं
कराभ्यां तं महा-मुनिः
स्व-तेजसा बलेनापि
गृहीतुम् उपचक्रमे

notthitaṃ bhūri-bhārāḍhyaṃ
karābhyāṃ taṃ mahā-muniḥ
sva-tejasā balenāpi
gṛhītum upacakrame

na—not; utthitam—stood up; bhūri-bhārāḍhyam—very heavy; karābhyām—with both hands; tam—him; mahā-muniḥthe great sage; sva-tejasā—by his potency; balenāpi—and strength; gṛhītum—to take; upacakrame—did.

English translation of verse 2.2.43:

When the very heavy mountain did not stand up, the great sage grasped it with his mystic strength.
