The Garga-samhita Verse 2.2.35, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 2 (Description of Giriraja Govardhana’s Birth) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

मुनिस् तं दक्षिण-करे
धृत्वा गच्छन् छनैः शनैः
स्व-तेजो दर्शयन् नृणां
प्राप्तो ऽभूद् व्रज-मण्डले

munis taṃ dakṣiṇa-kare
dhṛtvā gacchan chanaiḥ śanaiḥ
sva-tejo darśayan nṛṇāṃ
prāpto 'bhūd vraja-maṇḍale

muniḥthe sage; tam—to him; dakṣiṇa-karein the right hand; dhṛtvā—holding; gacchan—going; śanaiḥ śanaiḥ—little by little; sva-tejaḥhis own power; darśayan—showing; nṛṇām—of the people; prāptaḥ—attained; abhūt—became; vraja-maṇḍale—Vraja-maṇḍala.

English translation of verse 2.2.35:

Carrying the mountain in his right hand, he showed his great power to the people. Moving very slowly, he finally came to Vraja-maṇḍala.
