The Garga-samhita Verse 2.2.34, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 2 (Description of Giriraja Govardhana’s Birth) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-सन्नन्द उवाच
मुनेः कर-तले तस्मिन्न्
आरुरोह महाचलः
प्रणम्य पितरं द्रोणं
अश्रु-पूर्णकुलेक्षणः

śrī-sannanda uvāca
muneḥ kara-tale tasminn
āruroha mahācalaḥ
praṇamya pitaraṃ droṇaṃ
aśru-pūrṇakulekṣaṇaḥ

śrī-sannandaḥ uvāca—Śrī Sannanda said; muneḥ—of the sage; kara-tale—in the plam of the hand; tasminn—there; āruroha—climbed; mahācalaḥ—the great miountain; praṇamya—bowing down; pitaram—to his father; droṇamDroṇa; aśru-pūrṇakulekṣaṇaḥ—his eyes filled with tears.

English translation of verse 2.2.34:

Śrī Sannanda said: His eyes filled with tears, the great mountain Govardhana bowed down before his father, Droṇa, and then climbed onto the sage's hand.
