The Garga-samhita Verse 2.2.21, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 2 (Description of Giriraja Govardhana’s Birth) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तल्-लिप्सुर् मुनि-शार्दूलो
द्रोण-पार्श्वं समागतः
पूजितो द्रोण-गिरिणा
पुलस्त्यः प्राह तं गिरिम्

tal-lipsur muni-śārdūlo
droṇa-pārśvaṃ samāgataḥ
pūjito droṇa-giriṇā
pulastyaḥ prāha taṃ girim

tat—him; lipsuḥ—desiring to attain; muni-śārdūlaḥthe tiger of sages; droṇa-pārśvam—to the side of Drona; samāgataḥ—went; pūjitaḥ—worshiped; droṇa-giriṇā—by Mount Drona; pulastyaḥPulastya; prāha—said; tam—to him; girim—the mountain.

English translation of verse 2.2.21:

Pulastya, the tiger of sages, approached Mount Droṇa and, wishing to get his son, spoke.
