एकदा हास्तिनपुरे
भीष्मं धर्म-भृतां वरम्
पप्रच्छ पाण्डुर् इत्थं तं
जनानां चानुशृण्वताम्
śrī-sannanda uvāca
ekadā hāstinapure
bhīṣmaṃ dharma-bhṛtāṃ varam
papraccha pāṇḍur itthaṃ taṃ
janānāṃ cānuśṛṇvatām
