श्री-नन्द उवाच
कदा व्रजो ऽयं सन्नन्द
तीर्थ-राजेन पूजितः
एतद् वेदितुम् इच्छामि
परं कौतूहलं हि मे

śrī-nanda uvāca
kadā vrajo 'yaṃ sannanda
tīrtha-rājena pūjitaḥ
etad veditum icchāmi
paraṃ kautūhalaṃ hi me

śrī-nandaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nanda said; kadāwhen?; vrajaḥin Vraja; ayamthis; sannanda—Sannanda; tīrtha-rājena—by the king of holy places; pūjitaḥ—worshiped; etat—this; veditum—to know; icchāmi—I wish; param—great; kautūhalam—curiosity; hi—certainly; me—of me.

English translation of verse 2.1.19:

Śrī Nanda said: O Sannanda, when did the king of holy places worship Vraja?
