यत्र गोवर्धनो नाम
गिरि-राजो विराजते
कालिन्दी-निकटे यत्र
पुलिनं मङ्गलायनम्

yatra govardhano nāma
giri-rājo virājate
kālindī-nikaṭe yatra
pulinaṃ maṅgalāyanam

yatrawhere; govardhanaḥGovardhana; nāmanamed; giri-rājaḥthe king of mountains; virājate—is splendidly manifested; kālindī-nikaṭe—near the Yamunā; yatra—where; pulinam—the shore; maṅgalāyanam—is auspicious.

English translation of verse 2.1.16:
