अप्सरोभिर् गीयमानौ
चेरतुर् गत-वाससौ
वरुणी-मदिरा-मत्तौ
युवनौ द्रव्य-दर्पितौ

apsarobhir gīyamānau
ceratur gata-vāsasau
varuṇī-madirā-mattau
yuvanau dravya-darpitau

apsarobhiḥ—by apsaras; gīyamānau—sung; ceratuḥ—went; gata-vāsasau—without clothing; varuṇī-madirāby varuṇī wine; mattau—intoxicated; yuvanau—young; dravyaof their possessions; darpitau—proud.

English translation of verse 1.19.28:

Drunk on varuṇī wine and proud of their possesions, they walked naked as many apsarās sang to them.
