The Garga-samhita Verse 1.19.24, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
इति श्रुत्वा वचस् तेषां
न ते श्रद्दधिरे ततः
मुमोच नन्दः स्वं बालं
दाम्ना बद्धम् उलूखले

śrī-nārada uvāca
iti śrutvā vacas teṣāṃ
na te śraddadhire tataḥ
mumoca nandaḥ svaṃ bālaṃ
dāmnā baddham ulūkhale

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; iti—thus; śrutvāhearing; vacaḥthe words; teṣām—of them; na—not; te—they; śraddadhire—believed; tataḥthen; mumoca—released; nandaḥNanda; svam—own; bālam—boy; dāmnā—by ropes; baddham—bound; ulūkhale—to the grinding mortar.

English translation of verse 1.19.24:

Śrī Nārada said: The gopas did not believe what they heard from the boys. Then Nanda untied His boy bound to the grinding mortar with ropes.
