कथं वृक्षौ प्रापतितौ
विना वातं व्रजार्भकाः
वदताशु तदा बाला
ऊचुः सर्वे व्रजौकसः
kathaṃ vṛkṣau prāpatitau
vinā vātaṃ vrajārbhakāḥ
vadatāśu tadā bālā
ūcuḥ sarve vrajaukasaḥ
katham—how?; vṛkṣau—two trees; prāpatitau—thrown down; vinā—without; vātam—wind; vraja—of Vraja; arbhakāḥ—O children; vadata—please tell; āśu—at once; tadā—then; bālāḥ—the boys; ūcuḥ—said; sarve—all; vraja—in Vraja; okasaḥ—who had homes.
English translation of verse 1.19.22:
When they were asked, "How did these two trees fall down without any wind?
O children of Vraja, please tell us," the children of Vraja spoke.
